Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping education by enabling personalized learning and adaptive teaching systems. This paper reviews the current landscape of AI applications in education, focusing on intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive assessments, and personalized learning pathways. We examine the effectiveness of these technologies in enhancing student engagement and performance. Challenges such as data privacy, equity, and the digital divide are discussed, alongside emerging trends like gamification and AI-driven lifelong learning platforms. The review concludes with recommendations for future research to maximize AI's impact on education.
