Abstract

The integration of robots into healthcare has witnessed a remarkable transformation in recent years. This paper provides a comprehensive examination of the multifaceted role of robots in healthcare, encompassing their diverse applications, the inherent challenges they face, and the ethical considerations that arise in this evolving landscape. We delve into the practical applications of robots in surgery, rehabilitation, telemedicine, and patient care, highlighting their potential to enhance medical outcomes. Simultaneously, we address the challenges, including safety, regulatory compliance, and technological limitations that must be surmounted for seamless adoption. Ethical considerations, such as patient privacy, trust, and the impact on healthcare professionals, are explored in-depth, underlining the importance of maintaining human-centered care in a robotic era. This paper offers a holistic perspective on the current state of robots in healthcare, laying the groundwork for future research and policy discussions.
