Abstract

Cybersecurity threats are evolving rapidly, and traditional defense mechanisms often struggle to keep up. This paper explores the integration of blockchain and AI to develop a proactive cybersecurity defense strategy. The proposed framework uses blockchain to create a decentralized and immutable record of network activities, providing a reliable source of truth for detecting and responding to threats. AI algorithms are then applied to this data to identify patterns and anomalies that may indicate a cyberattack. Smart contracts are used to automate the execution of security protocols, such as isolating compromised systems and deploying patches. Our experiments demonstrate that the blockchain and AI-powered defense strategy significantly reduces the time to detect and respond to cyber threats, improving overall network security and resilience. This approach offers a robust and scalable solution for protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive data from increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks.
