Abstract

The transition to decentralized energy grids presents challenges in managing and securing distributed energy resources (DERs). This paper introduces a blockchain-driven AI framework for optimizing and securing decentralized energy grids. The blockchain component provides a transparent and tamper-proof record of energy transactions, while AI models analyze grid data to optimize energy distribution, predict demand, and identify potential security threats. Smart contracts are employed to automate energy trading, ensuring fair and efficient transactions between producers and consumers. Our case studies in microgrid and renewable energy systems demonstrate that the blockchain-driven AI framework enhances grid stability, reduces energy waste, and improves security by preventing cyberattacks and ensuring the integrity of energy transactions. This approach offers a scalable solution for managing the complexities of decentralized energy systems in a secure and efficient manner.
